Individual Consultation
Sessions are 55 minutes in length and conducted over Zoom or phone.
Session structure:
The purpose of a consultation or coaching session is twofold: first, to develop a clear understanding of the career challenge you are facing, and second, to generate fresh insights and actionable ideas to help you tackle it.
To start, we will do a short grounding exercise (about 2 minutes) to help you focus, or, if you prefer, we can jump right into the conversation. I will then take an active listening role as we discuss your challenge, asking questions to draw out details.
We will then lay the groundwork for problem-solving by reaching a shared understanding of your specific circumstances and needs.
During the next part of the session, we will generate ideas and identify actionable steps, and I will also offer my targeted advice. If there is time, we will cover the questions you may have. After the session, I will send you the recording, unless you’d prefer to have the session unrecorded.
Differences between a consultation session and a coaching session:
A consultation session begins with broad exploration and transitions into concrete problem-solving within a single meeting. In contrast, a coaching program spans multiple sessions, allowing us to balance exploration and problem-solving across different meetings. This flexibility enables us to dive deeper into each aspect as needed.
